Should we mention something about the water there? Last time I visited Shaw Island, the water reeked of sulfur.--Max Talk (add) 05:45, 8 April 2006 (UTC)

Can you be more specific about what water reeked of sulfur? I assume not the surrounding saltwater, and, AFAIK, all tap water is from individual private wells (with the possible exception(s) of one or more of the dense communities in the northwest third of the island sharing community wells), so it's probably a highly localized, temporary, and/or intermittent problem. The water from a small spring on our family property on the island doesn't have a noticeable odor. Sohelpme 19:29, 19 May 2007 (UTC)

www.shaw-island.com is currently down and the comic was discontinued almost a year ago now. Should we remove it completely or mention it somehow in the article? --Bringa 16:24, 16 November 2006 (UTC)
