Talk:Shaikh Siddiqui
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
This entire article must be a joke. "Nearly all members of our family resided in Bareilly until 1947, when they were forced flee to Pakistan due to massacres of Muslims by the Hindu and Sikh fanatics." I could have sworn it was due to the PARTITION OF INDIA, not because of the "Hindu and Sikh fanatics."
"our ancestors arrived in South Asia during the reign of Sultan (King) Mohammad Ghauri, and later settled in Bareilly during the reign of Mughal Emperor Mohammad Aurangzaib Alamgir." I fail to see the word INVASION anywhere. Mustaqbal 01:43, 27 December 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Shaikh?
I find the title 'Shaikh' to be in its very nature POV. "The title is often more informally used to address learned men as a courtesy." This page should probably redirect to Siddiqui. Sukh | ਸੁਖ | Talk 12:02, 27 December 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Very POV
Reads like "we're Arab and we're proud" which may well be the case, but isn't very encyclopedic. Sukh | ਸੁਖ | Talk 12:07, 27 December 2005 (UTC)
Indeed, I'd be tempted to put these pages up for a Vfd. How significant are the "Siddiqui's"? Sukh | ਸੁਖ | Talk
- The Siddiquis are a large, large community. But doesn't the article Siddiqui suffice? It's exactly the same as this one. --Le Grey Intellectual 14:41, 12 April 2006 (UTC)
