Shazam is a commercial mobile phone based music identification service, headquartered in London, England. When customers dial 2580, Shazam searches over 4 million soundtracks in their database to identify the song being listened to. The customer will then be texted with the result. [1].
Shazam have been awarded the Mobile Entertainment Award for Best Music Service Provider and were shortlisted for the GSMA 2008 Award for Best Mobile Music Service.
