Shawn Pettus-Brown (born September 9, 1976, in Cincinnati, Ohio) is an entrepreneur, Film producer, promoter, and plays professional basketball in Japan. He is the oldest of 8 children; 4 brothers and 3 sisters. He attended Taft High School in Cincinnati then went on to attend the University of Dayton, in Dayton, Ohio.

[edit] Basketball
Attended the University of Dayton, where he studied finance and economics and played for Coach Oliver Purnell. Pettus Brown left school early to play professional basketball for the Penrith Panthers in Australian Basketball Association, (ABA). After two seasons in Australia, he joined the Saitama (Tokorozawa) Broncos in the Japan Basketball League, (JBL). He has been playing basketball in Japan since 1999. Pettus Brown speaks Japanese.

While in college, Pettus Brown began an entertainment company promoting and producing music concerts. PBI was later incorporated in 1999 and now has registered branches in Japan and Australia. This international entertainment company has toured artist such as Frankie Beverly and Maze, Outkast, the Isley Brothers, 112, Erykah Badu, Lil Jon, Naughty By Nature, Lakeside, Lost Boyz, Goodie Mob, Green Day, and more.

Pettus Brown was involved in a major political court battle over a land purchase. He spent two years in jail over the matter then was later acquitted of all charges and released. Pettus Brown currently has several lawsuits against all parties involved. One lawsuit has been settled out of court for an undisclosed amount.

Pettus Brown, through PBI, has moved into the producing motion pictures. The first project is in pre-production as of September 2007.
