Shawn Khorrami

Shawn Khorrami, born February 2, 1969, is a plaintiff's attorney and founder of the law firm, Khorrami Pollard & Abir, LLP in downtown Los Angeles, California. Shawn Khorrami is best known for pharmaceutical litigation, wage and hour, consumer class actions, environmental law and toxic torts and product liability litigation.[1]

In the pharmaceutical arena, Mr. Khorrami has filed class action and individual cases against the makers of Vioxx, Celebrex, Bextra, Ortho Evra, Prempro, Paxil, and Zyprexa, among others.[2] He represents thousands of plaintiffs across the country who have been injured by defective drugs and serves on plaintiff's steering committees both at the state and national level.[3] He is especially known for filing more than 600 cases on behalf of thousands harmed by the birth control patch, Ortho Evra.[4]
In the area of employment law, Mr. Khorrami has litigated employment discrimination and class action wage and hour violations.[5]
Mr. Khorrami also has brought class actions and individual personal injury cases on behalf of autistic children and Gulf War veterans exposed to the mercury from the preservative, Thimerosal, commonly used in vaccines.[6] [7] Mr. Khorrami serves as lead and liaison counsel in the coordinated vaccine cases pending in California and Ohio and sits on the national steering committee for vaccine litigation.[8]
Mr. Khorrami also represents worker groups, individuals, and environmental organizations with environmental and toxic claims, currently representing large groups of plaintiffs who have been injured by environmental contamination.[9] [10]
Another major focus for Mr. Khorrami is consumer fraud class actions. He has successfully litigated and obtained substantial recoveries in cases involving promotional games, rebates, and even internet advertising fraud.[11]
Other representative cases include product liability litigation. Shawn Khorrami is actively involved in litigation of product defect cases from automobiles to pharmaceuticals to the use of munitions by law enforcement agencies.

Khorrami is a frequent lecturer on various issues including scientific and legal aspects of toxic injury from products. His cases are regularly featured in newspapers such as the San Francisco Chronicle,[12] and the Los Angeles Times,[13] on the Associated Press,[14] in magazines such as Red Herring[15] and on television.[16] Mr. Khorrami also has testified on multiple occasions as an invited expert before the House of Representatives.[17]

Shawn Khorrami is Iranian American. His legal name is Shahin F. Khorrami. He graduated with honors from Pepperdine University School of Law in 1995. He was admitted to the California State Bar in December 1995.[18]
