Shawn Christopher is a female African American dance music singer from Chicago, Illinois. She was a touring backing vocalist for Chaka Khan from 1982-1985 and had a string of hits on the Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart in the 1990s. Three of these songs went to #1: "Another Sleepless Night" (1991, Hot 100 #67), "Don't Lose the Magic" (1992, Hot 100 #71) Night For Love (1997) and "Sweet Freedom" (1998).

One of her most memorable vocal performances was on Lil Louis's track "French Kiss," which was a #1 dance hit in 1989.

" Thinking about the way " is a very much overlooked R n B song recorded by her in the early 90's With remixes from " Absolute / Mike HITMAN Wilson & JIM GODSEY ". Co-produced by GOH HOTODA & NEAL HOWARD. Released as a single in the US it was sent to the UK for DJ's to promote but never actually made it to a UK release. She is the sister of the R&B singer, keyboardist, and producer, Gavin Christopher.
