Sharbot Lake

Sharbot Lake, in Ontario, Canada is a village in Frontenac County located at the intersection of Highway 38 and Highway 7 (the Trans-Canada Highway). It has tourist-oriented shops and accommodations. Located in the Land O'Lakes Tourist Region, there are many lakes in the area that are used for outdoor recreation. The Sharbot Lake Provincial Park also has hiking trails and camp sites.
Sharbot Lake was once an important stop on the Kingston and Pembroke Railway.
Sharbot Lake hosts
- an annual triathlon, with a 1.5km swim, 40km cycle and a 10km run.
- the Arts by The Lake art festival in August
- an annual Heritage Fetival in February
- annual Snowmobile races
Olympic gold medalist Simon Whitfield got his start in the triathlon by participating in Sharbot Lake's annual 'Kids Of Steel' event for youth.
