Shannon Rempel (born on November 26, 1984 in Winnipeg, Manitoba) is a Canadian speed skater.[1] Most notably, Rempel is known for her win as the 2003 World Junior Speed Skating Championships and participation in the 2006 Winter Olympics which won her team a silver in the team pursuit.[1]
Rempel was a silver medalist in the 1000m at the 2004 World Cup in Harbin, China. In 2004 she was a silver medalist at the World Junior Championships and in 2003 she was a World Junior Champion.[1] At the 2001 World Junior Championships she won a silver in the 500m and a bronze in the 1000m. She holds the World Junior record for the 500m.[1]

Shannon was introduced to speed skating at age 10[1] at the St. James Speed Skating Club when her friend suggested that she try it.
