This is a picture of Shaver Lake, a lake in the Sierra Nevadas near the town of Shaver Lake, California. Shaver Lake is part of the Big Creek Hydroelectric Project, perhaps the most extensive in the world. It was taken by me on September 12, 2003. I give permission for the picture to be used with attribution under the GFDL and Creative Commons.
