Sergei Makarenko (born September 11, 1937) is a former Belarusian canoeist. Along with teammate Leonid Geishtor, Makarenko won the first Olympic gold medal by a Belarusian competitor.[1] The two won the men's 100 meter C-2 event at the 1960 Summer Olympics.
