The image was created to be freely distributed for the express purpose of promoting the commercial radio series whose host it depicts. There is no evidence that copyright notice was originally filed on the image, as then required for copyright protection.
There is no evidence that CBS Corporation, the corporate heir to Mutual Broadcasting System, claims copyright on the image.
