Removed:
- 1936 - Boulder Dam begins operation.
I could not confirm this. Roosevelt dedicated the dam on September 30, 1935 and the first generator went online on October 26, 1936 though. --mav 05:24, 8 Sep 2003 (UTC)
It's a curio, but since it refers directly to the date itself:
- 1988 - President George H. W. Bush tells an American Legion audience ""This is Pearl Harbor Day. Forty-seven years ago to this very day, we were hit and hit hard at Pearl Harbor" (Pearl Harbor Day is actually December 7).

I cant confirm this piece of information, the chief of israeili national police intelegence unit (?!) shot him self on the 7th of september 1992, if someone can confirm that and/or give a reference, please add this to the article!
