Deleteded non-essential information about Sephiroth: "In the game, he is portrayed as a seraph, or angel. Sephiroth is the antithesis of the protagonist, a mercenary named Cloud". Huricos 18:37, 2 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Hebrew Sefirot vs. FF Sephiroth

Okay, it seems we have an issue with some people thinking Sephirot trumps Sephiroth (Final Fantasy) so much that is should be the main article for Sephiroth, instead of having it disambiguated. According to my sources (Google mainly), the Final Fantasy character is way more notable and widely recognized. My position right now is preserving the balance by keeping Sephiroth a disambig page, and preventing the less notable meaning seizing the title over more notable one, however historically important that less notable meaning may be.

This is not yet a dispute, just an explanation of my position. If you want to dispute, please slap a dispute tag on the article and let's hear your position. In any case, please don't change the current article before we get all the angles and reach a consensus. Maurog 11:09, 2 October 2007 (UTC)

  • Religions are pretty much inherently more notable than video games at this point in time. If we were not consistent with the multiple romanizations of "sephirot", Wikipedia would lose academic credibility. --DJH47 21:43, 3 October 2007 (UTC)
