[edit] The Japanese and the rock musical

More mention should be made about the history of line one and the Japanese. I will start digging around. I also think that there needs to be an article for the rock musical, Subway Line 1, longest running musical in Korean history, and it should be linked here. Zephyrprince 15:00, 5 July 2006 (UTC)

Nesnad, in the article I mentioned "a Korean official." He is Paik Sun-Yup and I referred to his book Wakaki shōgun no Chōsen sensō 若き将軍の朝鮮戦争. He was the Minister of Transportation and launched the construction of Seoul Subway Line 1 although he resigned shortly before its opening. So I think the episode I put in the article is credible. --Nanshu 14:19, 4 Mar 2005 (UTC)

Nanshu, but the English is incorrect and its POV. Even if it is credible, it takes a side, and we shouldn't do that in Wiki. If I'm wrong, let me know. I'm open to all ideas, if they are not taking sides and they are NPOV. Nesnad 2 July 2005 21:09 (UTC)

[edit] Gyeongwon Line

What is the relationship between Line 1 and the Gyeongwon Line? Are they actually identical -- that is, when I take a train on the Gyeongwon Line to Uijeongbu, am I actually taking the subway? Or is it the more normal relationship, where subway and Mugunghwa trains run side-by-side, but stop at different platforms and use different tickets?

Currently a number of station tables suggest that the two are identical. Unless that's true, we need to do some fixing up. -- Visviva 04:59, 14 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Map

Does anyone have a good program for making subway-style maps? If so, I'd be interested, if for no other reason then because this page lacks one with all the stations' names. JPBarrass 11:21, 24 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Seoksu Station

Seoksu Station is listed here under the "in Seoul" list, yet, on its page on the Korean Wikipedia, its address is in Anyang. Can anyone confirm which side of the border the station is, please? JPBarrass 16:56, 8 September 2007 (UTC)

I think I've confirmed it myself using [same page], which quotes the phone number as 031-472-7788, a Gyeonggi-do number, so the station building is definitely in Anyang and I will move the entry in the table accordingly. JPBarrass 10:51, 26 September 2007 (UTC)
Though no-one else seems at all interested in this (!), here's the upshot. The building's in Anyang, but the platforms are in Seoul. JPBarrass (talk) 09:19, 20 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Korean text

I added Korean text (wiki-linked to the Korean article) for Gasan Digital Complex because there appears to be no English language article for this station. Please do not remove this. I will add further Korean text to the other station names as time permits. 220.76.15.52 (talk) 03:53, 12 May 2008 (UTC)
