From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Sendspace is a file transfer network. It offers temporary file hosting to enable users to send and receive large files that are too big for email attachments. Users can upload and download files up to 300MB each, along with the ability to manage and edit their uploads. Currently (as of May, 2008) it has an Alexa ranking of 187. [1]
Sendspace is also being used by major recording artists including Grammy Award-winning Chamillionaire to distribute free music.[citation needed]
[edit] SendSpace Wizard
SendSpace Wizard is the software that allows users to upload files from the desktop, without the need of a web interface.
Is is available for Windows, Mac OS and Linux.
[edit] Criticism
- Sendspace has pornographic ads and has no search function.[citation needed]
- Users under a "free" account may also experience extremely capped/slow transfer speeds, they may also be forced to retry several times due to no open slots (to force a subscription?).[citation needed]
