Senchal lake, located 10 km to the south-east of Darjeeling, is the main reservoir of potable water for the town of Darjeeling, India. The lake is located at an altitude of 8,160 ft atop a hill. the hill also golf links on the summit. Also a favorite picnic spot, it can easily be said to be one of the highest golf courses in rhe world. A Tourist Lodge atop Senchal provides a bar besides accommodation with both hot & cold running water.[1]
