[edit] Origins

Founded in 2003, by the Katrivanos’ brothers after tiring of playing music in their basement. The two decided to get serious and added long time friends Josh Goodine and Mike Schmidt to the group, and later on Moha Keradmin joined the quartet on guitar. Sematic has formed as a coalescence of musicians who are interested in rockin’ the crowd and creating original sounding music. Known for Live show antics as well as their own recording processes, Sematic has found a home among locals around our Nations Capitol. Sematic has won 3 battle of the bands to date, including George Mason University "Mason Day" Battle of the bands, and placed 10th in a 500 band competition. [1] From Radford's quadfest to the Continental in Manhattan Sematic has been spreading the word and the music. [2] The band may have changed out members on guitar and bass to now include Bobby Digital and Tyler Jones, but little else about this local favorite’s musical drive and passion has.
