1579 - Our Lady of Kazan, a holy icon of the Russian Orthodox Church, was discovered underground in the city of Kazan, Tatarstan.

The Our Lady of Kazan article now says July 8, not July 21 anymore. But I guess we can mention the feast day in the Russian Orthodox Church. -- PFHLai 18:06, 19 July 2006 (UTC)
