[edit] Deletion
He is a member of the Bahai Faith's Continental Counsellors. I created the article as part of a series of articles on CCs. One of these - Viv Craig - was deleted following an AfD decision (Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Vivien Craig) and I suggested the rest should go too to keep consistent. - Agree, see Wikipedia:Notability (people). The Counselors do not meet requirements for notability just because they are Counselors. Unless they are noteworthy in their own right (authors, actors) then they shouldn't have articles. Cuñado

[edit] Merge
There is no reason to merge. The Institution of the Counsellors article is about the position, not the hundreds of people who have been Counsellors. It's like merging all the people who have been members of parliament into a parliament article. Furthermore, this person was notable because of his academics, not because he is a Counsellor. -- Jeff3000 01:58, 19 December 2006 (UTC)
- Agree. Don't merge. Cuñado

- Please don't remove merge tags without letting discussion accumulate. A full airing of views is always a good idea, and if you have strong arguments you will prevail without having to engage in disruptive reverting. That said, I think it should be merged. The subject clearly fails Bio and Prof so it should redirect to the area of notability, small as that may be. Eusebeus 16:57, 19 December 2006 (UTC)
- The article has already passed an AfD which passed because of his academics, not because he is a counsellor and again you don't put members of parliament in a parliament article. -- Jeff3000 17:26, 19 December 2006 (UTC)
Actually a merge tag was added without discussion, and so far we had 100% consensus to remove it. Jeff3000 is right, this page should be deleted or should stay as is. If you want to delete it then give it another round of AFD. There is not much to discuss. Cuñado
