Selborne College is a public, male-only school in East London, Eastern Cape, South Africa.
[edit] History
Selborne was founded in 1872 as Panmure Public School by the German immigrant, Heinrich Muller. In 1886, the girls' section moved to another site, and in 1903 it split off as a separate school, which later became Clarendon High School for Girls. In 1907 it was renamed Selborne College after William Waldegrave Palmer, 2nd Earl of Selborne. The motto of the school is the Latin Palma virtuti (virtue has its reward).
