it would seem that the new equivalent will be the Secretary of State for Schools and Children and Ed Balls will hold this position.

I'd see both that post and Secretary of State for Innovation, Universities and Skills as equivalents - this is a post being split, not just rename. Timrollpickering 13:28, 28 June 2007 (UTC)
