[edit] Existential questions for page

To the random IP address who removed the prod: Where do you see this article going? Even if etymology could be found on the term, that's only an element to an encyclopedia article, and this kind of fails as a disambig page since the "subordinate" meaning overwhelms the comic foil one. One and a half meanings where one is close to a dicdef do not a disambig page make, but maybe I'm missing something. SnowFire 07:04, 8 January 2007 (UTC)

In any case, the page is not a Dab, bcz one of the senses is a dictdef. I'm converting the accompanying article to a stub that may or may not have a future.

" burlesque era of the 1950s" is bull; see Harry Steppe, which cites

"About: Bananas", John Wilcock, March 30, 1958, Sunday, Section: MAGAZINE, Page SM53, 1066 words

(available for a fee at NY Times). The sentence from the article should be quoted to fulfill the fact-tag.
