The secession building is located Vienna, Austria. It was built in 1897 by Joseph Maria Olbrich for exhibitions of the secession group. The building was called the Secession as it was the seceding of the "rebel artists" from the long-established fine art institution that gave rise to this excellent structure.
The building is so popular and famous, that it was the main motive of one of the most famous collectors coins: the Austrian 100 euro The Secession Coin, minted in November 10, 2004. On the obverse side there is a view of the hall.
