Hello. Some of your articles prompt these tips:

  • Begin with a complete sentence, not a dictionary-style definition.
  • Highlight the title word or title phrase at its first appearance, like this.
  • Don't use gratuitously capitalized initial letters in section headings. The following is conventional on Wikipedia:

Contents

[edit] External links

and the following is not:

[edit] External Links

  • Put category links at the bottom; otherwise they cause extra blank space to appear between sections or at the top.

See also Wikipedia:Manual of Style.

[edit] International Style (art)

Are you sure?

I thought it was a 20th century style. Jeff Knaggs 22:36, 3 Dec 2004 (UTC)

p.s. We already have a stub for International Gothic which is what I think the Wilton Diptych is an example of.

Yes, that will do nicely (I've just looked at my old Gombrich's Story of Art). Keep up the good work. By the way, you can sign your name with 4 tildes like this . . . Jeff Knaggs 23:00, 3 Dec 2004 (UTC)

[edit] Hello

Your statistic articles have been a powerful help in my statistics course, by the way.

Thank you; I'm glad to hear someone's reading and appreciating them. Michael Hardy 01:23, 5 Dec 2004 (UTC)

[edit] Wikimedia UK/Wikimania 2006

Hi, this is a circular to Wikipedians in Ireland to draw your attention to Wikimedia UK, where the establishment of a local Wikimedia chapter for the United Kingdom (and possibly for the Republic of Ireland) is being discussed. See the talk page, as well as the mailing list; a meetup will take place to discuss matters in London in September, for anyone who can get there. On another topic, plans are being drawn up for a UK bid for Wikimania 2006, which would be conveniently close to Ireland. On the other hand, Dublin's bid was one of the final three last year - might we bid again? --Kwekubo 19:35, 31 August 2005 (UTC)
