[edit] The Battle of Bunker Hill

G'day. Sorry but I redirected your article to an existing one. It's good to do a search before you create a new article. Gillyweed 02:34, 29 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Creatures of the Sleep

Welcome to Wikipedia! We welcome your help to create new content, but your recent additions (such as Creatures of the Sleep) are considered nonsense. Please refrain from creating nonsense articles. [edit] Speedy deletion of Demosthenes: Ender's Game Character

A tag has been placed on Demosthenes: Ender's Game Character, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

information already contained in Valentine Wiggin

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet very basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Mhking 02:22, 13 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Advice

Just keep watching. Wikipedia:Requested articles are a list of articles that people feel should be included (that doesn't necessarily mean that they MUST be included in WP); and if you have an interest there, that may help. You can also participate by helping "needy" articles as noted at Wikipedia:Pages needing attention and articles needing some cleanup help at Wikipedia:Cleanup. Good luck! --Mhking 02:33, 13 May 2007 (UTC)

Also, unless you are just intent on starting a new article from scratch, another thing you can do is look for stubs that address subjects you know well. You could flesh them out, and end up being the principal author, even if you weren't the page originator. Mdotley 23:33, 5 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Start a new wiki

I'm not sure why you thought I could help with your request, but I actually can. On wikiHow, the web's most popular "how-to" site, there is an article on How to Start a Wiki. I hope that helps you! ~ MD Otley (talk) 20:18, 11 October 2007 (UTC) PS: I am Mdotley over there, too.
