Talk:Seattle Art Museum

This could really use much more of a description of the museum's collection. If it weren't for the way people here have been lately [[demanding citations for the obvious, I'd do it myself, but I'm not going to look for a citation for each work. Any such list should mention Paolo Uccello, Constantin Brancusi, Mary Cassatt, Seattleites Mark Tobey, Morris Graves, Guy Anderson, Jacob Lawrence and Gwendolyn Knight (an entire room is dedicated to these last two), Do-Ho Suh (there is a very major piece of his, "Some/One"), very fine collections of contemporary African art, Australian aboriginal art, Northwest Native art, and photography. (The "usual suspects" in 20th century U.S. art are also generally represented by good pieces: Jasper Johns, Willem de Kooning, Andy Warhol, Jackson Pollock, Georgia O'Keeffe, etc.). Probably most of this can be cited from [1] and related articles, if someone has the patience. - Jmabel | Talk 04:44, 7 May 2007 (UTC)
