Sean O'Shea is an award-winning investigative and consumer reporter with Global Television News in Toronto, Canada.
He joined Global in 1987 after a career in radio and print journalism, and following assignments with CBC News in Regina and Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
O'Shea is the winner of two national Radio-Television News Directors Association (RTNDA) awards for investigative reporting. The first award, in 1994, was given for an investigation that exposed how a gay man was misdiagnosed with HIV/AIDS when he did not have the disease. The second award, in 2004, followed a series of reports showing how a convicted criminal awaiting deportation was allowed to run an illegal telemarketing business from behind bars in a Toronto jail.
