Seafoam Salad

Seafoam Salad is a cafeteria and buffet staple popularized by F. W. Woolworths. Seafoam Salad is often considered a dessert rather than a salad. It is comprised of green gelatin, cream cheese, pears, maraschino cherries and whipped cream topping.

Multiple versions of this recipe exist, including substituting crushed pineapple for pears, and adding mayonnaise and nuts to the mixture.
