Space Empires III - Main screen

This is the most complex screen, containing 4 child windows:

• The largest (top left) shows the selected system, and the selected planet has a box round it. The object in the center is a star, and the disk below it is an uncolonized planet. The other icons are enemy fleets.
• The Ships window (top right) shows the selected fleet, in this case the one stationed at the selected planet. All ships are selected except the one flagged with an "under construction" icon.
• The galaxy map shows known systems and warp oint (wormhole) connections, and can be used to select other systems.
• The Status window (bottom left) displays information about the selected sector of the System window, which in this case contains a colony.

The parent window has a large number of menus and toolbar buttons across the top.
