Seán Connick (born 27 August 1963) is an Irish Fianna Fáil politician. He is currently a Teachta Dála (TD) for the Wexford constituency. He was elected in the 2007 general election. He is the first TD in the history of the state to use a wheelchair.[2]

[edit] Early and private life
Seán Connick is the son of John Connick and Margaret Ryan.[3][4] He is married to Lourde. Connick was educated at St. Canice's Primary School and CBS New Ross. He also has a Professional Certificate in Business Management.[4] He uses a wheelchair as a result of a road traffic accident.[4]
Connick is a former farmer and teacher.[1] In addition to being a T.D., he is also a self-employed owner-manager of a Storage, Warehousing and Distribution Centre.[4] [5]
Connick lives in Rosbercon,[2] an area of New Ross town located in Co. Kilkenny.

Connick was elected to New Ross Town Council in 1999 and re-elected in 2004. He was elected to Wexford County Council in 2004.[4]
He was first elected to Dáil Éireann in May 2007[4] — receiving 9,826 first preference votes.[6] He was the first ever native of New Ross town to be elected as a T.D.[6]
His Constituency Office is located at 13 The Quay, New Ross, Co Wexford.[4]
