Compare the articles for menu bar vs. Apple menu. The Apple menu topic is for the single menu on the top left corner of the screen with the Apple logo as a title. The menu bar article is discussing the entire menu bar. The Mac OS X v.10.5 article is clearly discussing the entire menu bar, not the single menu on the top left of the screen with the Apple logo as a title.
