Scutari High School
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Scutari High School is a private high school located in the city of Shkodra, Albania. It began its regular work in 2004, but it was officially accepted by the local court as a private subject in the year of 2005, making it the newest private high school to date in the city of Shkodra. Scutari High School was created to serve those students of middle-class and upper-class society as the monthly payment is 10,000 lek (appx. 100 U.S. dollars per student (it's only 70 dollars if more than a student comes from the same family)). In order to be a student of Scutari High School each student must have at the very least an average of 80%, or else they will not be allowed to attend the school. Also, there's a code of dressing which doesn't allow students to wear short shorts, mini skirts, and other types of clothing. As of June 2005, the school only had 19 students of different religious backgrounds, all 9th graders (freshmen), however, according to the principal there are serious plans to expand the school to a full-featured high school. The owner and founder, Njazi Lima has said that he aims to make his school an important national place for education that will give local students a chance to be educated in a high-standard fashion with a Western European- and American-like system.
