Scranton Lax is a women's team that is part of the University of Scranton Athletics. They are in the NCAA Division III,Landmark Conference, Eastern College Athletic Conference. Other members of the Landmark Conference are The Catholic University of America (Washington, DC), Drew University (Madison, N.J.), Goucher College (Baltimore, Md.), Juniata College (Huntingdon, Pa.), Moravian College (Bethlehem, Pa.), Susquehanna University (Selinsgrove, Pa.)and United States Merchant Marine Academy (Kings Point, N.Y.). There are currently twenty-three girls on the team including two goal keepers and the rest field players. The home uniforms are a black skirt with a white and black jersey while the away uniforms are a black skirt with a black and purple jersey. They also have all black warm-ups that they wear for warm up before a game. The team travels to many away games together including the Spring Fling Tournament during Spring Break. This tournament takes place in West Palm Beach, Florida where the team not only plays in two games but also have two practice a day on non-game days. When not practicing or playing in a game, the girls went out to dinner, soaked up the Florida sun and relaxed.
On the third day during Spring Break, they took a trip on a catamaran. They were able to go out into the ocean and see the different houses on the bay. After being in the rough ocean for a while they went back to the bay. Here they were given the opportunity to go snorkeling. It took some time to get everyone in the correct equipment and then into the water. Once in the water you were able to see many different types of fish and other sea life. After that adventure during the day we went out to dinner as a whole team. This is where the following image is from.
