From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Hello Scott, welcome to Wikipedia. Nice work on the philosophy entries. You might want to list the articles you've created on the list of philosophers page. There's a list of legal topics that you might be interested in editing too. Here's some tips:

  • You can sign your name using three tildes, like ~~~. If you use four, you can add a datestamp too.
  • Remember to use the show preview button before you save a page.
  • If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page.

Other useful pages are: how to edit, how to write a great article, naming conventions, manual of style and the Wikipedia policies.

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Angela. 20:01, Apr 2, 2004 (UTC)

Thanks, Angela (for both the welcome and the tips). I followed your link to the list of philosophers and added my entries as you suggested.

Thanks for your note on the new user log. I see you've been busy in the law and philosophy articles, but if some time you feel like using your math and computer science background, you can take a look at list of computing topics and list of mathematics topics. There's also a list of mathematicians if you like doing biography. Isomorphic 05:12, 4 Apr 2004 (UTC)

Thanks, Isomorphic. I'll have a look at each of those.

[edit] RfA

Hey, I just wanted to let you know that I've been nominated for adminship status over at Wikipedia:Requests for Adminship. Since you've worked with me on one or two articles, notably Objectivist philosophy and its related articles, I thought you'd probably be a particularly good person to cast a vote either for or against, so I thought I'd let you know. [edit] Your uploaded image

Thanks for taking the photo Image:Scott ryan headshot.jpg and uploading it. I notice it currently doesn't have an image copyright tag. Could you add one to let us know how you want to license it? (You can use {{gfdl}} if you release it under the GFDL, or {{PD}} if you want to put it in the public domain, etc.) Thanks so much, Quadell (talk) (help)[[]] 02:33, Oct 4, 2004 (UTC)
