[edit] History
The History section mentioned Scotties being closely related to Westies. Westies originated from Cairns. I love scotties! Most likely Scotties and Cairns are more closely related. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.40.204.134 (talk) 21:27, 1 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Temperment
Could someone with more knowledge and expertise please include a category about the breed's Temperment
[edit] Temperment
[[[['Scottish Terriers are often very stubborn, but caring little dogs. They enjoy a good romp in the yard but may not agree when playtime is over. Usually only vocal when they want your attention, Scotties are polite, independant, and make a great guard dog.

[edit] Pottie emergency
I need some advice. My 8 month old scottie still potties in the house and won't go outside no matter how long you stand out there. we tried crate training and all she did was go in the crate. I need help or I am going to have to get rid of her because we live in an apartment building.

- If you have a carpet that your dog is peeing on, then make sure you buy some neutralising powder/spray that will get rid of the urine smell. Even if you cant smell it, the puppy will be able to and it will continue to wee on the carpet. she will think the carpet is her toilet because it smells like one. you should be able to get this at supermarkets or pet stores. [edit] Famous Scotties
What about Grefriars Bobby? Is he not famous enough?Peacemaker456 08:48, 25 February 2007 (UTC)
- Greyfriars Bobby was a Skye Terrier, not a Scottie :) Gungadin 14:33, 25 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] More?
On "Images" can we add pics or then should we just put it out on the article?(Jupiter12 07:25, 6 March 2007 (UTC)).
[edit] Fourth Earl of Dumbarton?
The claim in the article isn't consistent with our own article on that title, and to me sounds generally muddled. Can anyone cite this, and/or clarify? Alai 01:55, 19 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Image
Is anyone else having trouble with the new image that has been put on? It is showing up as a red block on my browser.Gungadin 19:03, 28 May 2007 (UTC)
- No trouble here. Sometimes they take a bit to upload to the page. VanTucky 22:06, 28 May 2007 (UTC)
Scottish Terrier and Dog News
I re-added the external link to the Scottish Terrier and Dog News, which is my own website. This site has beenup and running for one month with daily Scottie news.
While the link was originally removed by Veinor for being unencyclopedic, I think it is not at all a typical blog site, in the sense of a personal blog, and should therefore be restored.
Of course, I am in a conflict of interest so I leave the final decision to others, but I would like to suggest that they ask whether, the link is in the best interest of readers before simply excluding it.
Thank you, Boisblaireau
[edit] names keep changing
Sometimes it's called Scottie, other times Scottish Terrier. It keeps jumping back and forth. Anyone agree with me that it should be the same throughout? Member - Society of Dog Lovers 21:13, 21 October 2007 (UTC)
No, it is standard writing practice to do this as it adds variety and prevents monotony. Boisblaireau/ —Preceding unsigned comment added by Boisblaireau (talk • contribs) 11:23, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
