Talk:Scottish Children's Reporter Administration

[edit] Tags

I put some tags on this article. The tags are not meant as insults so please do not remove them. They are intended to flag up things that can be improved. I will explain each one and say what I think needs to be done before the tags are removed:

  • Refimprove: This is on because the only reference provided at the moment is the SCRA's own website. Wikipedia likes independent references as they prove the difference between genuinely notable organisations and those with an exaggerated sense of their own importance. I have no doubt that the SCRA falls into the first category but the article should still benefit from an extra reference or two.
  • Wikify: This is on because the article contains no Wikilinks. Key words in the article should be linked to their articles on Wikipedia so that people can get more information if they want to.
  • Context: This is on because the article might not make much sense to people who are not Scottish. A couple of introductory sentences at the start would fix this. In particular the role of a "Children's Reporter" should be explained or linked to.

Another thing that can be done to improve this article would be to add it to categories relevant to it.

I don't know much about the subject but I am going to see if I can improve things a bit. I hope others will do so as well. --DanielRigal (talk) 15:34, 24 November 2007 (UTC)

I realised that the article was pretty much a cut-and-paste of http://www.scra.gov.uk/about_scra/index.cfm, which is a problem for both copyright and neutrality reasons. I ended up rewriting a lot more than I expected. The tags are gone now. I am not entirely comfortable having rewritten an article on a subject I know little about. Please can somebody check it over. --DanielRigal (talk) 17:39, 24 November 2007 (UTC)
