MY NAME IS PETER RIFKIND

{{of the most commercially successful bands, but they were never at the "forefront". The debut was hilarious in its unoriginal parroting of Pearl Jam and Alice in Chains. not true! Well that's your POV but Wikipedia aims to be neutral.

--I removed the "is bisexual" "fact" in the trivia section. Sure, Scott may do some strange things (such as dress in drag), but I have been a fan for years and never once heard any sort of confirmation that he was remotely bisexual. If someone could provide a valid citation I would be quite suprised.

Contents

[edit] traffic accident

After the breakup of STP, Weiland was arrested on October 27, 2003, in Hollywood, California, after a traffic collision with william england.

I removed the " with william england." portion because I could not find any source whatsoever.

[edit] birthplace

It says he was born in Santa Cruz at the top and in the infobox, but then it says that he said he was born in San Jose. Which is it?

[edit] Rehab

Didn't Scott kick his heroin habit through rehab and the help of Slash & Duff recently? Didn't VR have to take a hiatus while he recovered? None of that is in this article, and since his drug use seems to play prominently in his life (and the article), it probably should be.

Unfortunately, I have no source information, so someone else will have to "be bold." XAlpha 18:08, 3 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] faith

is Scott still a christian ? or he longer believe in Jesus ? on his first cd with stp he said he tahnk God , Jesus Christ. So i just wondering, if he longer christian ? Does anyone else know ?

[edit] trivia

He was born Scott Kent (or Kline, depending on your reading source). The surname Weiland came from being adopted by his Stepfather, David Weiland.

--I removed that thing about the mombo sons song monkeyfinger or whatever. They are not even remotely popular... I mean, it took me forever to find information about the song itself on google, and they're not even sold on Amazon.com. Information of this nature appropriate at times, sure, but I really dont think this particular fact was justified under the trivia section give that the mombo sons are not known to many people at all. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.24.114.74 (talk) 04:19, 26 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Departure

Isn't it possible that the article about him leaving was a April fools joke? It certainly looks like it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.158.97.18 (talk) 17:22, 3 April 2008 (UTC)

Absolutly not, as many attendants of the Glasgow Concert will tell you. Weiland announced that it was VR's last tour, much to the bemusement of the other members. Shortly after, Sorum commented on the band turmoil, prompting a response from Weiland. Slash then set the record straight by saying that VR is not over and are still going to make a 3rd album. Needless to say, this is not a joke, this is real. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.157.48.70 (talk) 22:40, 3 April 2008 (UTC)
