The article focuses almost exclusively on the Kensington Runestone, and should either be expanded to cover other topics or renamed to reflect focus on the stone.

Assuming the biographical focus is retained, some suggestions for improvement as the article is expanded:

• Template:Infobox Scientist should be added
• Photograph should be added
• Needs copy edit and wikification
• Basic biographical information required, including date of birth
• Article should be divided into appropriate subheadings
• Some references present, but some material unsourced; existing references should be converted to inline format
