Scott Allison (born 3 November 1987 in Guisborough) is a professional footballer who is a free agent after his release from Hartlepool United. He plays as a goalkeeper.

He began his career as a trainee at York City and went on trial with Football League Championship side Cardiff City in 2004 at the age of 16[1]. After impressing during that time he moved to Cardiff to finish his scholarship. York received compensation for the move and were set to receive more should Allison eventually sign a professional contract with the Bluebirds. However Cardiff decided not to offer him a contract and he was subsequently released at the end of the 2006/07 season. During his time at Cardiff Allison played in the clubs FAW youth cup trophy win alongside players like Chris Gunter, Darcy Blake and Michael Corcoran[2]. He joined League One side Hartlepool United at the start of the 2007/08 season and on 11 October he signed a one-month loan deal with non-league side Gateshead[3]. He was recalled from the loan spell by Hartlepool in early November.
