[edit] HEADUNIT?

Other small changes to the xA for 2006 include a more refined, user-friendly headunit and more exterior colors. What is a "use-friendly headunit"? I don't even know what a "headunit" is. Is this some new form of advertising jargon? Or is it gen Y speak? --TGC55 17:41, 18 May 2006 (UTC)

it should actually be "head unit". it isn't jargon, i personally have heard it all my life. there is a wikipedia article on it here. ren0talk 22:12, 18 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Sunroof

Does the 2006 XA comes with a sunroof/moonroof? --MarioV 22:48, 22 August 2006 (UTC)

No: the only xA that came with a moonroof was the RS 1. As far as I know, it has never been offered as an option, either. ddickison 03:20, 10 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] xA replacement

Here's a source that quotes a Scion vp, but I couldn't find any Toyota.com information. Would that be sufficient? IFCAR 16:34, 16 September 2006 (UTC)

I guess this is better, but since this article indicated Toyota made an official statement, it should be somewhere to be found as a press release or another official form. I would hold on and not jump ship until we can find an official source, as WP has to be the most reliable, not the most up-to-date. Bravada, talk - 16:48, 16 September 2006 (UTC)
It's obviously true and quotes Toyota execs, but the official announcement may only be available in media-only sections of the Toyota website. IFCAR 17:08, 16 September 2006 (UTC)
Not really, media have the tendency to "create facts" even if it amounts to outright lies. May I remind you about the Freestyle/Magellan controversy - there have been totally contradictory reports appearing, and most of them "quoted" some Ford officials in this way or another. Even if this seems fairly uncontroversial as a piece of information, I would still be very cautious about putting that in the article as it would serve as an example for a number of speculative articles to be included as "sources of information", which is what we are fighting with. PS. TADA! [1] - wasn't THAT hard! Bravada, talk - 17:18, 16 September 2006 (UTC)
All right, I admit it: I didn't try all that hard. IFCAR 17:24, 16 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Belta/Yaris

The Scion xA page says that the xA is related to the Belta/Yaris. But the Toyota ist page says that the xA is *unrelated* to the Belta/Yaris. Huh?

First, can you please provide an URL, where above statement is made? Second, ist/xA *is* related to Vitz/Platz/Yaris/Belta -- 1st generation ist/xA utilizes the same CP platform as Vitz/Yaris/Platz, bB/xB, Funcargo/YarisVerso, Will Cypha, Vill Vi, Vios, Succeed/Probox and some others.
