[edit] History

It was the first such organisation in history.

Do we know this for a fact, or just that it was the first in modern history? In ancient Greece, for instance, isn't it likely there were groups promoting the acceptance of homosexuality (which was not always the case)? --MQDuck (talk) 21:00, 21 November 2007 (UTC)

The idea of such a group in ancient Greece is, I think, extremely anachronistic. Take a look at Homosexuality in ancient Greece. Ideas about sexuality in ancient Greece were very different from those of our time.
Before a group promoting the acceptance of homosexuality might exist, there should be a concept, a definition of homosexuality, a psychologic identification. However difficult to understand for modern man, the ancient Greek had no such concept, definition or identification. Soczyczi (talk) 19:27, 24 November 2007 (UTC)
