[edit] Merger (Schweizer Brothers into Schweizer Aircraft)

- Support, maybe under a new "history" section header, although the last bit of the article could be mede to read more encyclopedic. Akradecki 06:02, 1 January 2007 (UTC)
- Oppose — The Schweizer Brothers have been inducted into the Soaring Hall of Fame and have done work in support of the Soaring Society of America, National Soaring Museum and the sport in general that is not directly related to the company. They have also written a book, and there is more than enough info to expand their biographical article. Dhaluza 15:00, 19 February 2007 (UTC)
- Oppose — Although I may be biased [being the originator of the Schweizer Brothers article], I agree with Dhaluza in that their extra-corporate contributions merit preservation in this biographical article. Also, William has actually written two books: Soaring With the Schweizers: the Fifty-Year History of Their Aviation Adventures, and The Ageless Ag-Cat: the Forth-Year History of the Ag-Cat Agricultural Airplane. - Oppose - I concur with Dhaluza. LanceBarber 05:01, 25 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Decision
No consensus after 6 months. Some improvements have been made, tho more are needed. - BillCJ 17:32, 25 June 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks, BillCJ. I am looking into a source of additional biographical information on the brothers and their literary accomplishments as well. JimScott (talk) 16:19, 18 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] ROBINSON R22 COMMENTS
IMHO, this smacks of improper content. It is true that the R22 has had some issues in the past[1] and is currently under a rotor blade inspection requirement[2]. However, in support of the R22's record, a [self-proclaimed?] FAA Designated Pilot Examiner (DPE) with over 12,000 accident free hours in helicopters and airplanes and over 7,000 hours as a flight instructor in the R-22, working with Northeast Helicopters in Ellington, Connecticut, has, with the cooperation of one Mahdad Koosh, has performed an extensive analysis of the R22's record.[3]
Frankly I don't know any of these folks but the current wording seems improper so I've deleted it until such time as someone knowledgeable in these affairs has time to investigate the available information and create some suitable verbiage. JimScott (talk) 16:19, 18 March 2008 (UTC)
