[edit] Image:B-17 Schweinfurt.jpg
Please note that it is unclear where this image was taken. The file name suggests it was taken over Schweinfurt, but [1] says the picture was believed to have been taken over Merseburg. Merseburg is located much more to the east (and much more to the north) than Schweinfurt, so if that's true, it wasn't on their way to Schweinfurt. Maybe on the way to Dresden?. [edit] Name
The article states that the name means Swine-fort. I don't believe this is correct. German "furt", I believe means crossing (or ford). So Schweinfurt means swine-crossing, not swine-fort. Chrevbel (talk) 19:43, 5 February 2008 (UTC)
