The Schweppes Stakes is a Group 2 Australian thoroughbred horse race for horses aged 3 years old and over under weight for age conditions, over a distance of 1200m.

It is held at Moonee Valley Racecourse in Melbourne.

1976 - 2006 held over 1000m
2007 onwards held over 1200m.

1976 – 1978 was a Principal Race
1979 onwards Group 2

1976 - 1995 the race was known as the ‘A.J. Moir Stakes’
1996 - 2002 the race was known as the ‘Schweppes Stakes’
2003 - 2006 the race was known as the ‘Schweppervescence Stakes’
1996 onwards the race has been called the ‘Schweppes Stakes’.
