Schuyler Chapin

Schuyler Chapin (born 1923) is a former Commissioner of Cultural Affairs for New York City during the administration of Mayor Rudolph Giuliani.
Previously, Chapin was general manager of the Metropolitan Opera. In 1995, he married Catia Z. Mortimer in a ceremony at Gracie Mansion at which Mayor Giuliani officiated.
He has written several books, including Leonard Bernstein: Notes From a Friend (he was a personal friend of Bernstein).
