Schmap Local is a browser plug-in that recognizes and saves results on popular local search websites such as Yahoo! Local, Google Maps, and Citysearch.[1] The plug-in is currently available for Internet Explorer and Firefox and can be downloaded for free at www.schmaplocal.com.

Schmap Local allows users to store addresses, export them to Microsoft Outlook, or transmit them via email or SMS. [2] After installing the plug-in, small Schmap footprints appear in your browser toolbar, along with a small drop down menu. [3] Locations stored by Schmap Local can also be called for free with one mouse click via Skype. [4]
