[edit] Scerevisiae

I am a 35-year-old science writer based in Washington, DC.

In 2006, I completed a PhD in biophysics. My dissertation topic was the connection between spatial organization and signaling in the helper T cell immunological synapse.

I have worked as a radio-frequency engineer; I have an MSc in physics (thesis on applied high temperature superconductivity) and a BSc in physics (thesis on meteor dynamics). I was employed for a short while as a professional editor at a scientific journal devoted to chemical biology.

However, on other topics, my opinion is only as good as anyone else's. Unless we're talking about jazz.
