Scanning Systems Australia is an Australian retail technology company headquartered in Brisbane, Queensland. The company provides hardware and software solutions to small and medium businesses, including independent and major-chain retail supermarkets/convenience stores, pharmacies, fuel stations and hardware warehouses.

Scanning Systems Australia was founded in 1997^[1] by David Hagen. Since inception Scanning Systems Australia maintains partner relationships with major Australian distribution channels, banner group retail members and in August 2007 was awarded Queensland Industry Development Scheme^[2] grants for future growth.

As of January 2007, Scanning Systems Australia has 50 employees, about 70% of whom work in Brisbane. Scanning Systems Australia also has sales and support operations throughout the states of Australia and Asia/Pacific.
