[edit] Origin

Scampizza is an amalgamation of Scampi and Pizza, popular both in restaurants in the USA[1] and in the home, as a delicious dish that is easy to prepare.

[edit] Preparation

Scampizza in restaurants is typically made with fresh ingredients, such as mozzerella cheese, garlic and Shrimp scampi.[2]

Scampizza at the home is often prepared when there is no fresh food in the house, but a surplus of frozen food. One frozen pizza and one pack of frozen Scampi is all that is required. Scampizza can be prepared:

- In an oven (ideal) - In a microwave (lesser taste, however cooking is quicker) - In a toaster (good taste, likely to cook unevenly)
