Savoy Art Glass Studio was started in 1970 in Eureka, California by glass artist Daniel Legree. In 1971 photographer Sue Grauten joined the studio, and together the two of them created art glass in a variety of techniques including; etching, sand blasting, blowing, stained, dichroic, beveled, fused, kiln cast and laminated.
The studio moved to Portland, Oregon in 1980, which is also home to two major glass manufacturers Uroboros and Bullseye. The studio has worked on both residential and commercial art projects. Savoy glass is still created in the same studio, receiving recognition from many high profilers in the hospitality and design industry.
